Parent Testimonials:
Dear White Rock,
I just wanted to write a quick note to thank you all for the hard work and dedication you have shown my daughter. The destructive behaviors she was displaying prior to us sending her to you has completely changed. We have seen great change in her for the better and hope to continue on the right path with her. Your staff has been very loving and great to work with. I am looking forward to continuing the relationship with our family and your institution.
Thanks Again,
Jim S. (California)
Hello,
I wanted to express my thankfulness for the folks at White Rock Academy. We have a teenage boy that has been staying at White Rock for a little over three months. We just spent the weekend with our son and the changes in his behavior and his actions were wonderful and above and beyond what we expected. Before attending White Rock, he was manipulative and full of anger towards his immediate family. He also had run away twice and was pretty much defiant towards us. It has taken a while for his “break through,” but it is coming. All of the staff at White Rock has been great to work with. Also, the Academic Coordinator has worked well with our son in his school work. We are really excited about having our son come home and look forward to having our family complete once again.
-Thanks from a grateful family in Missouri.
Dear Jennifer,
A quick update on my son, he is doing fabulous! He now has a job at a Marina. We are also talking about colleges. The difference I see the most is how respectful he is of me and how he is "thoughtful" of his choices regarding life situations. You all made a difference and I think it shows. Thanks for giving me back my sanity and my wonderful child.

Student Testimonials:
Hi, my name is Spencer and I am from a small town thirty minutes south of Kansas City, Kansas. I have a mom and dad along with one brother that I love dearly but you would not have known it before I came to White Rock. There were uncountable times in my life that my family and I would fight tooth and nail with each other the outcomes of it were never good. It would usually result in me running off for anywhere from an hour to a day but I always came back home. I had barley any respect for my family and other people around me. At age seven I was put in to an outpatient program for a week to help get my medication on track it did not work. At age twelve I went to another place that was the same thing, a place to help me with my medication. The last place I went to twice was a short-term inpatient program, and same thing again, didn’t work. The main reason I needed to go to these places was because of my behavior and I would go into manic phases where I would pretty much do what I wanted when I wanted to and then I would get very depressed to the point I did not care about life any more. Then my mom and dad heard about a place called White Rock Academy. Well my mom and dad and I talked about me going there and finally decided I would go there and try it. So we drove to North Central Kansas to a little town called Esbon, which is a five hour drive from where I live. When we all pulled into the academy parking lot and went into the school I was greeted with a smile by a man named Roger also known there as “Papa Bear” well I was then taken on a tour of the place and introduced to the rest of the kids and staff that were at the academy. I then told my mom after the tour that I felt good about the place and wanted to stay. The boys in the unit were all excited to get a new student at White Rock it made me feel real good. Well for the first four weeks I did not want to have any thing to do with the place or getting help until I finally got it into my head that I needed help and the only way I would get it was to open up to the kids and staff so they could help me. There were hard times for all of the kids at White Rock and even the staff at point in times but we all got through them. The fun things we got to do were go out side and help out the community and go out on field trips. While I was at White Rock I got to do counseling which helped me see the true me. I did school here and this is the place I graduated high school from which was great. After three and a half months, I then graduated the program, which was a big accomplishment for me. Well, finally four months came to an end and I went back home for my in-home trial. Since I have been at home there have been no physical or verbal fights of any kind. There have been no manipulating situations where I got my parents to do something they did not want to do. And I can even tell that there has been a big change in my life now where I am a new man instead of a kid. Well it has been five months and now I recently visited White Rock not as a student, but as a visitor to the place. That just goes to show how much I liked and appreciated the place and how much the people did for me.

Admissions Testimonials:
Todd,
Thank you so much for your support and assistance in making the hardest decision of our lives. Turning our son over to you and your staff was a very big pill to swallow. But, with your comforting help, we were able to give our son an opportunity to succeed in life. Before speaking with you, we felt that we weren't making headway. I appreciate you taking time out of your day many times just to visit with me and my husband and get us through those tough moments. Sometimes even parents can feel hopeless and need a little comfort as we did.
Thanks Again,
Shelly (Maryland)
