Robert Yost M.S. Psychology
Program Director/ Life Coach
Hi, my name is Rob Yost , and I am pleased to bring my knowledge and experience to the treatment program here at White Rock Academy.
My education and training includes a Masters of Science degree in Psychology from Kansas State University, membership in two National Academic Honor Societies (Gold Key and Psi Chi), and certification in First Aid and CPR. My Professional experience includes almost 20 years of service in a variety of settings, utilizing a variety of modalities that help teenagers to address problems and issues that are holding them back from reaching their full potential as human beings and as members of society. These include the provision of in-home services to youth at risk of being removed from the home (6 months), staffing of short-term shelter facilities (3 years), a long-term alternative education residential facility (6months), management of a long-term residential treatment faciilty (4years), and working for, supervising, and directing a Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center, where youth taken into custody by law enforcement officers were brought for psychosocial assessment, referral for services, and placement (11years).
Since I grew up in this area of rural Kansas, and my wife and I have decided to live our lives here, I am especially excited about helping teenagers to identify goals and overcome obstacles toward productive living in an environment that feels like home to me.
