Linda M.O. Helmer, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) Level II, is experienced in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, specializing in Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, and Chemical Addictions. Linda’s work has included an emphasis on women’s issues, chemical addiction, anger management, and behavior/social problems in children and adolescents. Linda has professional experience serving in the local mental health center, in-patient hospitals, and the State Maximum Security Prison system as a therapist, crisis manager, and group leader. Linda actively serves in her community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and also serves in her church. She has owned and trained horses since the age of 5. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Linda’s husband, John, is a Level I Equine Specialist, and a veteran Paramedic.
